OVER 1,000 CHILDREN HAVE RECIEVED BOTH DIRECT AND INDIRECT BENEFITS SUCH AS ACADEMIC TUTORING,AFTER SCHOOL CARE, MEALS, MENTAL EVALUATIONS, MEDICAL EVALUATIONS, LIFE-SKILLS TRAINING, CLOTHING AND HOUSING.

TO PROVIDE SUPPORT TO WOMEN LEAVING DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SHELTERS. A HAS BEEN STARTED TO FURNISH CLOTHING AND HOUSEHOLD ITEMS FREE OF CHARGE TO THESE WOMEN AND THEIR CHILDREN. PROCEEDS FROM THE ARE USED TO EXPAND THE PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT OF SUCH FAMILIES.

To operate exclusively for purposes, including, for such purposes: (i) making need-based distributions and providing assistance to employees of Healthcare Services, ., a Maryland corporation, or their family members, adversely affected by a "qualified disaster", (ii) making distributions and providing assistance to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations which provide relief, financial aid, assistance and disaster relief payments to disaster victims or to the poor or distressed, or which provide donations for social justice purposes, (iii) making need-based distributions and providing assistance to victims of disasters and their families and to the poor and distressed, (iv) developing parameters for, reviewing and approving applications for, and making social justice based scholarships, and (v) making distributions and providing assistance to other organizations that qualify as exempt organizations.

is an all-volunteer organization which in 20 years has awarded over $775,872 to help 191 women. They are given the opportunity to pursue their academic goals, enabling them to obtain jobs that can raise the economic status of their families. Many recipients have overcome abuse, homelessness, addiction and financial hardships and graduate with academic honors.Applicants are carefully screened. They must be at least 18 years old and be US citizens. They must demonstrate financial need and show evidence that they are likely to succeed in achieving their goals.Awards do not exceed $5,000 and are paid directly to the facility providing the needed services. The funds may be used tuition at universities, colleges, technology and trade schools, supplies,equipment, books, fees, bus passes and child care.
